Farmer Electrocuted While Transplanting Paddy; Three Young Children Lose Their Father

A tragic accident claimed the life of a farmer after he was electrocuted while transplanting paddy, leaving his family devastated. The incident has plunged the entire village into mourning, as the deceased was the sole breadwinner for his wife and three young children.
The deceased, Prakash Sahani, was originally a resident of the Kolhui area. He had been living at his sister’s in-laws’ house, where he worked in agriculture. To support his family financially, he also operated a small auto parts shop in Thuthibari.
According to family members, Prakash came into contact with an electric current while working in a paddy field. Villagers rushed to rescue him, but he had already succumbed to the electric shock before any help could save his life.
Prakash is survived by his wife and three minor children. His elder brother, Mahendra, said the eldest son is six years old, the second is four, and the youngest is just one year old. The sudden death of their father has left the children and their mother facing an uncertain future.
The victim’s wife is inconsolable, while other family members are struggling to cope with the heartbreaking loss. The tragedy has cast a shadow of grief over the entire village, with residents expressing deep sympathy for the bereaved family.
The incident has also raised concerns about electrical safety in agricultural fields. Villagers have urged the authorities to provide financial assistance to the grieving family and ensure support for the education and future of the three orphaned children.
